Pitch Deck to Markdown is a free converter from Pitch Deck Guide that turns your pitch deck into an AI-optimized markdown (.md) file in about 30 seconds.

Before investors open a deck, many feed it into ChatGPT or Claude for a quick summary. PDFs can be hard for AI to parse: design-heavy slides confuse the model, the narrative gets mangled and the investor gets a garbled summary. The fix is to include a clean pitch-deck.md file alongside your PDF, with the same content in a structured text format.

With a markdown version, AI tools can parse the content, investors get accurate summaries and your narrative stays intact. Your PDF is for the humans in the meeting; your .md file is for the AI doing the screening. It does not replace your designed deck, and you still need the PDF for the meeting.

The output is plain text, so you can edit it before sending. If your deck has sensitive data, the page recommends using your own AI tool, such as Claude, Gemini or ChatGPT, instead.
